This will be the first March for Gun Control in Washington since the Sandy Hook massacre. It will not be the last.

America has woken up and the silent majority will not be quiet again until we have stronger legislation surrounding guns.

We did not want to wait to March for a month or two or three. We are compelled to act now. We wanted to act instead of just talking. We wanted to bring our bodies and our minds and souls to this important work. There is only a small window of time for change–and we’re in that special moment.

Join us–March with us.

Show the country that we will be silent no more.

We march for each one of the lives that have been lost to this epidemic.

We march because we mourn the losses.

We march because we demand change.

We march because our first amendment rights are rights we cherish.

We march because we’ve been bullied into thinking the status quo is just fine.

We march so that others can march later and our numbers will build with each successive march until real change happens.

This is our mission–when we stand together we stand a chance.”

  1. Thank you for being the someone(s) who should do something! I look forward to participating with you in what I regard as a step toward American culture recognizing guns as a health hazard.

  2. We are not against all guns, merely agains semi-automatic weapons and other military grade weapons. The march must establish realistic goals for gun control to have a chance to succeed. It should not be viewed as an all or nothing proposition.
    We will be there.
